Input options can be adjusted using the Edit Analysis menu.
Open the Edit Analysis menu using the Technical Analysis button in the top-right of the Candle module.
Expand the TA tool you want to adjust by clicking the > symbol next to its name. Inputs that can be adjusted are at the top of the expanded menu.
Visual style options for TA tools
The Edit Analysis menu lets you change the color and line thickness of the elements composing an indicator or overlay. Elements can also be toggled on or off.
Changing Colors
Clicking the color box next to any TA tool element (eg. an SMA line) opens a window with 40 pregenerated color options. There are 8 hues, each with 5 different brightness levels.
These colors are derived from your currently selected Theme. You can change your theme using the Theme Management menu.
You can paste a specific color’s hex code, or create a color using the three sliding scales below the pregnerated options: Hue, Saturation and Brightness.
Different TA tools have unique components that can be re-colored.
For example: when Bollinger Bands are selected, you can adjust:
Upper standard deviation boundary
Lower standard deviation boundary
SMA (simple moving average) line, and
Fill color
Each visual element that can be adjusted is listed below the input parameters (eg, Periods input for an SMA line). Each element can be toggled on or off by clicking the checkboxes on the left.
Adjusting indicators on the chart
Indicators that appear in the price chart area don’t have to stack below it — you can rearrange indicators using the Edit Analysis menu.
This example will use the Volume indicator. Any indicator can be rearranged on the price chart:
1.
Use the Add Analysis field in the Edit Analysis menu to add a Volume indicator
2.
Make sure the Volume field is collapsed by clicking the > symbol to the left of “Volume”
3.
Click and drag the Volume field and drop it above the Candle field.
Resizing Indicators
Indicators can be resized by clicking and dragging their boundary line on the price chart. Drag up or down and release to resize the indicator.
